Warranty Policy
At L&P Container LLC, all products are supplied with clearly defined warranty coverage based on container type, condition classification, and intended use.
This policy outlines the scope, duration, and limitations of warranty coverage, ensuring that expectations are consistent and aligned with the nature of each product supplied.
Coverage Overview
Warranty coverage applies to structural integrity and core functional components, and varies depending on whether the unit is:
- New / One-Trip
- Used (WWT or Cargo Worthy)
- Modified or Prefabricated
All warranty periods begin from the date of delivery confirmation.
1. New / One-Trip Containers
Warranty Period:
12 months from delivery date
Coverage Includes:
- Structural frame integrity (walls, roof, base, and corner castings)
- Wind and watertight condition (no active leaks or openings under normal use)
- Door operation and locking systems functioning as intended
Exclusions:
- Surface-level cosmetic changes (minor dents, scratches, paint wear)
- Natural material aging, including light surface oxidation
- Damage resulting from:
- Improper unloading or handling
- Relocation after delivery
- Inadequate foundation or ground instability
- External impact or environmental exposure beyond normal conditions
2. Used Containers (WWT / Cargo Worthy)
Warranty Period:
90 days from delivery date
Coverage Includes:
- Wind and watertight (WWT) condition at the time of delivery
- Structural usability (no defects preventing standard storage use)
Exclusions:
- Pre-existing cosmetic wear, including dents, scratches, and surface rust
- Interior wear consistent with prior usage
- Conditions disclosed prior to purchase
- Any degradation occurring after delivery due to environment or use
This reflects the nature of used equipment, where functional performance—not cosmetic condition—is the basis of classification.
3. Modified / Prefabricated Units
Warranty Period:
6 months from delivery date
Coverage Includes:
- Structural integrity of installed modifications
- Functionality of installed components (e.g., doors, windows, insulation systems where applicable)
- Stability of structural alterations made prior to delivery
Exclusions:
- Modifications carried out by third parties after delivery
- Electrical, plumbing, or finishing systems altered by the customer
- Damage caused by misuse, overloading, or environmental exposure
- Wear related to occupancy or continuous use
Warranty Claim Process
To ensure consistency, all claims follow a defined process:
1. Notification
Claims must be submitted within the applicable warranty period and include:
- Order reference
- Description of the issue
- Supporting images or documentation
2. Review & Assessment
The issue is evaluated against:
- Original order specifications
- Condition classification
- Delivery condition
Additional inspection (remote or on-site) may be required where necessary.
3. Resolution Options
Where a valid warranty claim is confirmed, resolution may include:
- On-site repair (where feasible)
- Replacement components (e.g., door hardware, seals)
- Replacement unit of comparable specification
- Partial or full refund where repair or replacement is not viable
Limitations & Exclusions
Warranty coverage does not extend to:
- Cosmetic appearance (including dents, scratches, paint variation, or rust)
- Normal wear resulting from ongoing use
- Damage occurring after delivery, including:
- Improper handling or relocation
- Foundation or ground movement
- Exposure to extreme environmental conditions
- Unauthorized modifications or structural alterations
- External events outside operational control (e.g., severe weather, flooding, natural disasters)
Transferability
Warranty coverage applies solely to the original purchaser and is not transferable following resale or reassignment of the unit.
